1. Project title:
Develop master plans and introduce underground sewerage in Mithi

Project objectives: Improving sanitation status through introducing low-cost underground sewerage, developing master plan of city.

Status of Project: Completed in 2006

2. Project title:
Establishing resource centre to assist water development, improved sanitation and promoting health education

Project objectives: Assisting the efforts of water security and water development in Thar, introducing improved sanitation & promotion of health hygiene education in Thar
Partners: District Government Tharparkar & SF
Status of Project: Completed in 2007

3. Project title: Ensuring accessibility of water, sanitation and hygiene education for deprived communities of Thar Desert of Pakistan

Project objectives: Striving for water security and water development in Thar, Introducing improved sanitation & Promotion of health hygiene education in Thar through children & young people

Status of Project: Ongoing (started in 2007)

4. Project title: Facilitating youth to increase their role in promoting WATSAN & Health Education sectoral interventions

Project objectives: Mainstreaming youth community in sectoral interventions regarding water security and water development in Tharparkar. Introducing improved sanitation & Promotion of health hygiene education in targeted area through involving youth

Status of Project: Ongoing (started in 2008)

5. Project title: Introduce, promote and upgrade the rainwater harvesting techniques and practices in Thar to contribute in public health and livelihoods of people and water security of area.

Project objectives:

• Empower rural children and young people with Life skills and marketable skills enable them to take an active part in poor friendly rural development
• Create and promote viable technologies for poor
• Promote health/hygiene education contributing to reduce morbidity, mortality and alleviate the poverty.
• Promote indigenous practices to improve the water security, sanitation conditions, hygiene practices and livelihoods
• Research and advocate to influence relevant policies beginning with water and sanitation, health/ hygiene education and livelihoods.

Short-term projects/activites in partnership with multi-stakeholders

• Provide nurseries to three government schools with support of government agriculture extension department Tharparkar
• Launch a pilot to preserve and packaged all wild food variety items of Thar and introduce in market for sale through organizing exhibitions etc
• Organized livestock vaccination camps in different villages
• Food support to families in droughts getting support from local philanthropists
• Organized Health camps from organization’s own reservoirs
• Facilitating Government Health Action Schools in collaboration with Agha Khan University-IED in Thar
• Organized exhibitions in different festivals to promote craft in culture of Thar
• Conduct appraisal to acquaint with the status of wood handicrafts production in Thar & launch a pilot to introduce new wooden handicraft items to carpenters of Thar
